Douglas DC-6B

Douglas DC-6B YU-AFF (FS2002 and 2004)

Douglas DC-6B is the type of the aircraft with which Adria Airways started its business in the 1962. They bought 4 aircraft from Scandinavian SAS and they flew until mid 1970s when they have been gradualy replaced with upcoming Douglas DC-9 sircraft. All except this one were sold, while YU-AFF is placed as static aircraft on Ljubljana-Brnik international airport.

This model has been designed completely from the scratch in GMAX by Tom Gibson and Greg Pepper. The model features reflective textures, realisticly working struts, extendable landing gear, opening cowl flaps but unfortunately it does not feature opening doors. Together with model You get also panel and sounds. Flight dynamic is very accurate and please pay attention for lengthy runway for take-off! Repaint was made by Matevž Mevželj.

Firstly You must download United DC-6 from California Classics web page (http://www.calclassic.com), then download textures and add them as described in readme.

McDonnell Douglas DC-9

McDonnell Douglas DC-9 super 50 (FS2000 and FS2002)

This is one example of many DC-9 aircraft which Adria Airways (in eighties it was Inex Adria Aivopromet) used to carry passengers. The model was made for Flight Simulator 200 although it can fly also in Flight Simulator 2002. The painting has small error in the company name. It is written Inex Adrija Aviopromet although the letter j is too much. Otherwise it has fine paint and it is worth downloading!

Warning: the link is tied up with web site www.flightsim.com on which You must first log on and then start to download.

DC-9 YU-AJR (510 kB)

McDonnell Douglas DC-9 super 32 YU-AJF

Mr. Tommy Tomov sent me email where he notified me, that he has made repaint of commercial aircraft DC-9. It happens to be one from Adria's fleet with registration YU-AJF which flew also in early 90's as S5-ABH in Adria fleet until it was sold.
The aircraft for which is meant this repaint is made by Flight One and I can say this is probably the best DC-9 available for Flight Simulator 2002 and worth 24,95 USD.
There are some minor mistakes in the repaint (wrong font for the company name and wrong company name on the right side, missing star in the flag) but hey, it is still Adria Airways' aircraft!

McDonnell Douglas MD-82 S5-ABD

Adria Airways used these long aircraft until early 1990's. They had to be sold because of decrease passenger traffic since former SFR Yugoslavia has collapsed. But we all have great memories on these aircraft. Many of this type are still in service around the world.
The group SGAir/Flight FX has released new version of their great MD-80 aircraft and Tomi Kunej has made the repaint of this beautiful aircraft.

McDonnell Douglas DC-9 Super 51 (YU-AJU)

The McDonnell Douglas DC-9 aircraft were main aircraft of Adria Airways' fleet and they have been gradualy replaced by new CRJ-200 aircraft in the early 1990's.
This is repaint of Jet City Aircraft group in colors of Adria Airways as it was in 1989. I don't know much about the model of the aircraft but I assume it is related to iron Knuckles DC-9. Both of these aircraft are sold by Flight 1.
This superb repaint is made by Jure Dolanec.

Airbus A320

Airbus A320-200 S5-AAC (Project Airbus)

This Airbus A320 is available for some time allready nad it was made by project Airbus. It has virtual cockpit, opening doors etc. and its registration is S5-AAC.
When flying with it, You will feel some inertia during turns and also one little upleasant effect, especialy on better computers-fungoidial oscillation which is more obvious at higher time rate with level flight.
You can use sounds prepared by Project Airbus, link is below the picture. There is also a nice freeware panel available on Avsim :)

Bombardier/Canadair CRJ-200

Canadair Regional Jet CRJ200 S5-AAE

This is a package of five liveries of GMAX made Canadair CRJ 200 and amongst these liveries there is also Adria Airways livery. It flies well but it can be also used as AI aircraft since it has a little impact on frame rate.
Liveries included in the package are Adria Airways, Eurowings, Lauda, Lufthansa and Tyrolean

The author of this aircraft is FS Painter group, repaint by Misha Kovacevic.

Canadair Regional Jet CRJ200 S5-AAE

Finally well known group POSKY also made a GMAX Canadair CRJ-200 in Adria Airways livery. Aircraft registration number is S5-AAE which also means it is 5th CRJ in fleet. Visually it is made perfectly, two pilots are seating in cockpit, You can see also some passengers through the window, it has opening main doors (Shift-E), FS2002 style landing lights and so on.

Flying is nice, it is stable aircraft but be careful, because it can be easily overstressed. Take special care with landing gears, they can be easily damaged and pay attention to landing speed!

Canadair Regional Jet CRJ200 S5-AAH

This is repaint of the aircraft made by FeelThere. The rumours say that this aircraft is perfectly made and also flyes as the real one. The textures in Adria Airways' colors make it even better :) Textures represent the aircraft with reg. S5-AAH which is on lease in Adria Airways from the begining of 2003 and for 2 years. Repaint made by Tomi Kunej.

Canadair Regional Jet CRJ200 S5-AAG Star Aliance

This is a repaint of the aircraft made by group POSKY and it is basically the same as S5-AAE above. This is a color scheme of Star Alliance in which Adria Airways is a member since the autumn 2004. By the contract, 10% of Star Alliance fleet has to be painted in Star Alliance's colors and this aircraft is representing such color scheme. Repaint by Tomi Kunej.

Boeing 737-500

Boeing B737-528 UR-GAS

Adria Airways wet leased two aircraft in spring 2006 for 2 years approx. They were leased for use on european routes and with the purpose of cutting costs. The first one was leased from Ukraine International Airlines with registration UR-GAS.
The model of this aircraft was made by a group FlightFX/SGA. In the archive file there is only model of the aircraft and the Adria Airways' textures. Repaint made by Bostjan Bogataj.

De Havilland DASH 7

De Havilland DASH 7 YU-AIF

Inex Adria as charter airline of former Socialist Federation Republic of Yugoslavia flew on long and short routes. They have bought DC-9 that have replaced older DC-6 and they were used for long routes. Inex Adria also needed a plane for short routes so they have bought 3 DASH 7's in early 1980's. They were used for routes like Ljubljana-Sarajevo, Ljubljana-Zürich etc. These aircraft stayed in the Adria Airways' fleet up till mid 1990's when they have been exchanged for CRJ-200.
The superb model of this aircraft was made by Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas, Joao Paz and Team 7. Full package available via the link below the picture includes Gmax aircraft, custom panel, A. Swindle modified sounds, 3 liveries. It features usual GMAX animations but it has no Virtual Cockpit. STOL flight dynamics tested by 7 real world pilots.
Repaint was made by Marko Balažic and represents aircraft with reg. YU-AIF in color scheme from the 1980's.

NOTE: You must first install original aircraft for FS2002, then update for 2004 and at the end textures for Inex Adria.

Fictional repaints

Airbus A330-200 S5-AAZ

This aircraft is a fictional repaint of one of POSKY's great Airbus A330-200. Adria Airways does not have Airbus 330 in its fleet, nor the registration S5-AAZ exists. But anyway, I found this aircraft on Avsim's pages, so I included it here.

Airbus A330-200 S5-AAZ (1,86 MB)

Boeing 777-200ER S5-AAJ

Yet another fictional repaint in Adria Airways colours. This time is Boeing B777-200ER made by POSKY. Repaint was made by Jet Precision with help of Tomi Kunej. This aircraft has also flexing wings, tilting boogies, etc. Well Adria probably will never have such jumbo in its fleet (who knows) and if it would have, this is a little proposal for them :))
A word about flying. It has strong engines, it started climbing after 1500m of runway, otherwise it has good inertia but pay attention on airspeed during landing, You may crash quite fast!

Boeing 777-200ER S5-AAJ (5,15 MB)

Boeing 747-400GE S5-AAS

This is again fictional repaint in Adria's colors. This time is Boeing 747, made by POSKY, repainted by S. Richardson known as bmused55 on Avsim screenshot forum. Regarding the plane, there is nothing to say; POSKY is well known design group so also this aircraft.
But the file has only textures for B747-400 so You should install one such plane, for example Air France photoreal gmax version available on Avsim. After You have successfully installed the aircraft, unzip BMP's from the zip and replace the textures in TEXTURE folder of just installed aircraft.

Embraer 170 S5-AAL

The aircraft itself is very similar to the Airbus A320 but the company is located in Southern America. The fictional repaint of this aircraft was amde by Tomi Kunej, the model of the aircraft is made by Dream Wings.
